First, I want to teach you how to plug the output of your laptop and a nice tip to attract the audience in the hall. So one thing you have to learn is how to connect your laptop to the audio system
Can you plug the output or not?
If you can’t, the audience practically can’t hear you and pay. attention to what you saying. So you must check the hall and its situation before. maybe you need to talk to the person who handles the technical issues in the conference hall.
Play music to attract the audience
Consider that using some voices and music into your PowerPoint slides will be impressive to your audience.
I use music in some of my seminars. It’s fascinating for the audience, especially if they are listeners. So if it’s possible, you can do it.
It’s essential to use music before or after your class, before or after the seminar. For example, if your seminar begins at 9, you can play music at eight fifty or even at half-past eight. In the end, you can play motivational music and energetic ones to attract the audience’s attention.
Doers as audience
Now it’s time for the fourth group of the learning style. We talked about people who are, watcher, listener, and reader. The next and the last learning style is the people who are doers. Let’s learn how to attract the audience if the personality is as doers.
Doers like to do physical activities. Here, we want to tell you the best way to instruct them.
1- High five
First, they feel good about High Five. They love it.
I have to mention that obviously; we can’t tell the audience to do it in any presentation.
2- Pantomime and exercise attract the audience
You can have some activity parts in some of your slides. For example, here we played pantomime to work on our body language.
Sometimes you can ask them to stand up and do some exercises. Some warm-up exercise might help.
We can review lessons. You can ask them to discuss what they have to learn until now with their partner.
They can share what they’ve learned with their teammate.
It can be beneficial for the learning process.
Doers like to do stuff and timers are good to make them do something within a specific time.
Here, I put some timers you can see. For example, I give them one minute to review or to practice what they’ve learned.
Here, there is a battery, it’s draining and the audience will know how Time managing is important and they go straight to do the review.
You can have several timers and use them to ask the audience to do something. These timers attract the audience and make them more focused.
Now let me teach you a simple tip to create a timer. Here I made a 30-second timer. It will finish in 30 seconds. But how did I do it?
You can create a simple shape. For example, I draw a rectangle. Then I go to the Animation tab and select the Wipe style.
Now let’s choose the direction from left to right and then the time I want. For example, sixty seconds. By following the same way, you can create many timers. I made some timers that I will give them to you.
3- Let them see others’ activities
Remember, doers like to see others’ activity too. For example, here in this seminar, I talked about conflict and we started pulling a rope.
In this one, I was talking about brain functions and I used this brain model.
Here I was. saying how is writing skills and then showed some books written by my students. In this bookshelves, I put the books of the mastery course and showed them the empty bookshelf showing that your books would be located here during this course.
As I was talking about three ways of writing books, I used a traffic light to explain it so that it sticks to their mind.
Another thing to do for the doers is to change their location. Here, I took the audience outside of the hall then I continued my presentation.
4- Online poll to attract the audience
Now imagine you can ask your audience to participate in an online poll and share your ideas with them immediately. You’ll say If you want to join in this poll, you just have to go to this address: poll.ev/payambahramp909.com or you can message this number. Let’s follow the same way together.
I go to this address and there is a form here that asks me which one do you want to choose. I choose the second one, B. you see the answer in my PowerPoint sheet less than seconds. Or I can delete it and choose the third one again. Now imagine how it would be enjoyable for your audience to participate in your slides.
I hope you can use these easy ways to attract the audience. They work on all kinds of audience but since doers are more willing to
