The commonest reasons for being a negligent and the solution
In this article, we want to explain what negligence is and what are the reasons for being a negligent. Why my boss was negligent although he was a hardworking man working 14 hours per day?
Why does a taxi driver ask me he can’t be rich although he tries so hard?
What is the difference between doing well and doing something well?
In general:
Assuming that we are not negligent, why we can’t reach what we want even though we try so hard?
The answer to that question is that it can partially be because of your negligence.

One of the reasons for being negligent is you not believing in yourself for doing something.
First, we need to know the reasons for being a negligent and its definition if want to try and prevent it from happening.
Negligence means the things you must do now but you don’t. whether you do nothing or do something else instead of it.
So it depends. Negligence has different levels. But we all have it. sometimes you know you have to pay attention to your kid and play with him but you watch TV instead.
Often, you have money but you know you don’t have to spend it on buying a car. If you invest that money, you will be rich. This way you are negligent because you didn’t have to spend the money but you do.
You see there are thousands of reasons for being a negligent. It’s not only about your daily tasks and work. We discuss some of the commonest ones in this article.
Reasons for being a negligent
1- Simple discussion of negligence
Sometimes you talk about not being in the mood. you make yourself believe that it doesn’t feel right to do something at the very moment.
2- Being a perfectionist as one of the reasons for being a negligence

One of the reasons for being negligent is when when you think you should be everything or nothing at all.
One of the reasons for being a negligent is perfectionism. Some people are the exact opposite of the first kind: Perfectionists. They think they have to be perfect or nothing. These people think that the world is only black and white and they have to be zero or one.
This viewpoint prevents them from doing anything or keeps them busy with one thing that they can’t deal with other stuff.
For example, imagine someone who wants to learn English. He is very awful at it. so he thinks: “no, either I have to be perfect in English or nothing. I believe I can never learn it so… it’s best not to start it in the first place.”
3- Scared people

One of the reasons for being negligent is being afraid of failures and running from victories.
Next kind is people who are afraid of victories and failures. They might be negligent too.
They say to themselves: “I’m afraid the company may not hire me, so let’s fill the hiring sheet tomorrow.”
Or, “I’m scared. What if I express my feeling to that girl and she rejects me? so leave it be.” Then he might lose the chance to marry the girl he loves.
4- Not having a plan
We mostly are negligent because we don’t have the right plan. Then you miss the time and you don’t know what you need to do next.
These 4 kinds of reasons are the general ones. there are some special ones too that might see, irrelevant.
For example, not being able to decide is one of the reasons for negligence.
These kinds of people don’t make their decision when they have the chance. They don’t know which path is the right one. so they don’t do it at all.
Hardworking people with no result

One of the reasons for being negligent is to be busy and seeing no results.
But the most important subject that I want to talk about today is people who work hard but see no result.
Years ago, I was the selling manager of a company. My boss was actually my dear friend but he was negligent. He worked almost 14 hours a day but still didn’t have time to manage all his tasks.
He was hardworking. Every time I saw him, he was dealing with something: checking the secretary’s work, answering phone calls, talking to the others, checking other parts of the company, talking to the customers, etc.
The boss’s job is not to answer phone calls for 6 hours. He seemed pretty occupied but he wasn’t doing the right thing. All he did was wasting his time for the tasks an employee could have done.
If my friend had a plan to do all the tasks a boss needs to do, he could have finished all his work in 3 or 4 hours.
We have seen many people saying “I don’t have time!”
Not having enough time doesn’t mean you are hardworking and busy. It means you are negligent and you can’t manage your time, have a plan.
When you see you don’t have enough time in your life, it’s because you don’t do the right thing, you’re doing well!
What’s that supposed to mean?
It means you are doing something and you are great at it. but you are doing something that it shouldn’t be done.
The best solution to prevent the reasons for being a negligent from happening

Now that you have learned the reasons for being negligent, sit alone and think if the task you are doing is priority or not.
The simple solution to that is to see if you are doing something that was supposed to be done by you in the first place.
In “4 types of duties: The Eisenhower matrix“, we talked about different kinds of tasks:
– Important and urgent
– Important and none-urgent
– Unimportant and urgent
– Unimportant and none-urgent
What we all must do is important and none-urgent tasks.
In conclusion, we all might fall in this trap. So stop your quick process of life for one second and see whether you are on the right path or should you be on this path at all?
