Advantages and disadvantages of online courses
I am a public speaker, but my real education is educational technology. I have tried to merge these two subjects and use technology in my public speaking which makes it like “online courses”!
The truth is that we mistake online education in electronic education. Online education is a part of electronic learning.
I should explain what electronic education is first. It says how to learn with the help of a video or audio at the same time (different time) with a script from a distance.
How to learn better and faster?

Now, if it’s at the same time, we call it online education, which mostly happens through the internet. I had experience in doing so in webinars.
A webinar is also an online seminar. It means your teacher is in front of you on the screen. He or she starts the computer, and we hear their voices and see their faces.
Participants can join the class from different cities and countries. It has many advantages and disadvantages.
1- Saving time

Learn the rules of online courses to save time!
Imagine you know the best class which is in another city. You have to travel and drive kilometers to get there. In an online class, none of this happens. It doesn’t matter where you are. As long as you have an acceptable and stable internet connection, you can use the class too.
2- Accessing the best teachers
You might be in France, Russia, or China. You probably can’t think about being in one of the most excellent teachers. For example, someone like Brian Tracy. Online education provides it for you. You can even join classes at a foreign university.
3- Saving money

When you take online courses, you don’t need to spend money on transportation, hotel, etc.
You can reduce the cost when you use online education. You don’t need to pay for a hotel, food, transportation, etc.
4- A mixture of educational tools
When you use online education, you use audio files, video files, different handouts, educational videos, etc. at the same time because each participant has a cellphone or a computer to work with.
5- Repetitive

You can repeat your online courses whenever you want wherever you are.
It may have happened to you at school when you ask your teacher to repeat the part for the 100th time, he became angry or ran out of patience. Online education is different. Once I joined an online class. I didn’t realize some parts. I entered the system again, and I watched my whole course again.
6- Unlimited students
The quantity of students is limited. If there are more than 20 or 30 students in one classroom, it brings chaos, or it can be a distraction for the teacher. In online education, a class can have more than 1000 students. No limitations! Once I had the experience of having 90.000 students in one of my online courses. It can’t happen in real classes, but it’s easy when it’s online. Also, it can be free because the price will be shared among 90.000 students. Here, you can even ignore the price and have an online class for free.
As I said, it has its disadvantages too. For instance, a teacher is not near to see our mistakes and correct them. But online education has more advantages than disadvantages, so I believe I have to encourage you to start having online classes if you really have the knowledge to educate and teach.
