Why do we speak to other people? Because we want to affect them.
But before we affect the others, we have to change ourselves. How? By asking a question from ourselves.
We have to ask, “why am I doing this? What are the benefits of speaking (or any other job you are interested in)?”
One day I wanted to write a book. It took a long time. Suddenly, I stopped and asked myself: “why am I writing this book? What effects does it have to the people who read it?”
No, you have to ask yourself: “why do I want to be a public speaker? What has to happen to the audience that I am talking to?”
After you answer these questions, with the help of a couch, you can reach whatever your purpose it. If you don’t, you’ll come back to this article a few years later to find these questions and ask them from yourself.

Do not enter the public speaking industry because you want money. You have to know the root of your purpose to be successful in it.
