Create a professional PowerPoint presentation
I intend to share the most important step before creating a professional PowerPoint presentation. Sadly, some of the inexpert assuming teachers forget to mention the essential step in creating a PowerPoint presentation before teaching the methods!
the presentation design doesn’t start with opening a PowerPoint!
In the third public speaking and presentation club Mrs. Diane Windingland, one of the most famous coaches and tutors of public speaking in the United States of America accepted my invitation and had a great online presentation about Death by PowerPoint with me. I indeed suggest you visit her website: (Virtual speech coach)

When do we have to begin to design a public speaking?
For sure, it’s not going to begin with opening a PowerPoint presentation!
At first, we have to think and write our ideas without any order or organization because the right and left hemispheres of our brain have a different mechanism and if we want to use all our brain, we have to think about ideas without any order. We don’t have to let our brain involve in the idea’s order. At this point, we have to write whatever comes in our mind.
After writing the ideas, we have to organize them on a paper.
1- Delete some
2- Change some others
3- Replace a few of them
And if we have good taste, we can use colorful sticky notes.
Introducing the Slide:ology book
I want to introduce the most famous book about professionally creating PowerPoint or precisely creating slides: the Slide:ology book.

slideology-Nancy Duartee
Nancy Duartee wrote this book, and it was one of the best sellers in Amazon.
In my opinion, it has great graphics and the two artistic knowledge distinguish this book from the others.
This book presents some extraordinary ways to create slides and most of it is about the graphic. One of its attributes is to analyze every part and using examples at the right time.
Creating professional PowerPoint presentation: taste or knowledge
Maybe it occurred to you that whether creating a professional PowerPoint presentation has something to do with taste or knowledge? With no doubt, I have to say your taste matters in creating PowerPoint but obviously, it needs some principles and methods that help us learn better and create better PowerPoint presentations; therefore it’s about knowledge too.
We have to learn principles and create PowerPoint presentation by using our taste along those principles.
