How to overcome public speaking anxiety?
Whenever you feel you are afraid of a presentation, you can fake it. Make the audience believe you don’t have public speaking anxiety.
Now how do you think we should do that?
1- Impersonate as someone who doesn’t get scared.
Impersonate as a person who is not afraid. These are the features of a self-confident person who is not anxious:
– Head up
– Chest forward
– Body shows itself so much
– Walking, not standing in one place
– Slow talks
– Slow walks
When you try to act like a brave person, your brain thinks you are brave; therefore it orders the whole body to be relaxed and overcome public speaking anxiety fast. The brain tries to make you feel like the person you are impersonating, it means a self-confident person, and this is the first step.
2- Know about your subject before you start talking about it.
A reason we can’t overcome the public speaking anxiety is because we are afraid we might forget something.
The solution is to know more than you already do. For example, if you want to talk about three things, better learn five things about that subject so that you don’t lack words while you are presenting like a gun and its bullets. When we shot, one bullet gets out, and the next replaces it. The same thing happens in public speaking. When we have enough knowledge and know five matters to talk about, we can use the 4th one when we forget the 3rd one.

We have to imagine our presentation before we do it. We can even practice our performance in our mind. It’s best to imagine ourselves as the speaker and ask ourselves what we would do if we were him/her?
4- Ask questions from the audience to overcome public speaking anxiety
The question allows us to get the following words ready and be prepared to talk again.
Public speaking is a skill, and it needs practice, so we strongly suggest you don’t go for it without preparation.
Some people are afraid so much that they even delete the problem and convince themselves not to go up on the stage and present unless they have to. At this point they see they are nervous and they need to learn how to overcome the stress.
