Presenter View is an option in PowerPoint which you will know about in this article.
From the beginning, we learned how to prepare a presentation, how to design a presentation based on the human brain, some technical tricks and now it’s time to explain delivery and presentation methods and after that Murphy’s Law.
First, delivery and presentation, stay with us.
In my opinion, every speaker needs a cheat sheet. This cheat sheet is not a paper in PowerPoint. When you go to PowerPoint, View, and Note, you can write statistics, numbers, dates, stories, how many items, and the things you need and you may forget. It’s beneficial because only you can see the Notes and no one else.
When do we use the Notes, when do we use the presenter view, when we connect our laptop to a second screen, like a projector, the Presenter View mode will activate. The projector will show this image then, and when you click on the show presenter view, you can see the current slide here. Here is the next slide and here are your Notes. It also has other capacities like how much time has passed and how much you have left. So the presenter view helps us in many ways.
Now you are seeing a presenter view here. This is the current slide; this is the next one. Here are your notes and here are some abilities. This is your cheat sheet and you can see it any time you want.
The best place for your laptop is on stage. Look, my laptop is here and I only need to move my head a bit to see it and the audience won’t. Here are my printed notes on a stand so that I can use them both.
One of the most interesting capabilities of choosing slides is this: I think now we are slide two hundred and eighty or two hundred and ninety. Imagine we want to go to slide one hundred and forty. How can I do that? I just need to write the number with the keyboard and then press Enter. It goes straight to the slide I want or two hundred and ninety-nine. In this case, I have full control over it to move among slides. I can do something useful with it.
For example, I can write the number of more critical and important slides on a paper and stick it next to my laptop so that if I need to mention them, type them and find them quickly.
Also, we can do is that we change the thank you slide to contact or call to action slides. Because saying thank you is not beneficial. But if we use a call to action slide, it makes the audience do something and it has a good effect on them.
